Serving Our Communities Since 1940
From the very beginning, Pilgrim has been all about family and community.
Pilgrim Facility Services is a sister company of Pilgrim Dry Cleaners, which has proudly served communities all throughout the Twin Cities since 1940, when it was known as Johnny on the Spot. Don Rosen joined the business in the early 1950s, becoming sole owner in 1984, at which point he opened additional stores in and around the Twin Cities and changed the name to Pilgrim Dry Cleaners, Inc.
Two years later, Rosen founded the Coats for Kids drive, providing local children with warm coats. Since then, Pilgrim has collected, cleaned, and distributed almost half a million coats to Minnesota families in need.
In January 2004, Rosen’s daughter Bonnie Engler took over the business. She successfully rebranded the company with her signature and style while continuing to uphold the same values of quality and service that have been engrained since its inception.
Then in 2009, Bonnie’s son Derek Engler launched Pilgrim’s home and office pickup and delivery service to further extend convenience to all our customers. Derek officially took over as CEO in January 2024, bringing an ultramodern approach to processes and capabilities while maintaining focus on ever-changing customer needs.
